In Australia, the beaches become buzzing with barbeques, surfers and musicians. Bush Doof

 

The special “bush doof” began its origin in the 1990s and is currently a popular part of underground dance music in Australia. The event is always organized in some remote place, whether it is a bush location or forest, where there is no populated area to be disturbed. The show is joined by Goa artists and psytrance lovers who live in uncountable tipis during the raves that continue for several days.

 

Strawberry Fields

 

In addition to many unofficial gatherings of open-minded and free-spirited young people, Victoria citizens enjoy the Strawberry Fields annual festival which continues for a weekend. Many famous local and international names take part in this event, including Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Tycho, Prefuse 73, Stephan Bodzin and James Holden. The guests should be prepared for art installations and kaleidoscopic canvases along with several stages.
Eclipse Festival

 

Another famous event is Eclipse Festival organized in November in Queensland. This music event continues a week and the visitors can enjoy techno, breaks, dub, trance and whatever they can imagine on the five stages. Their favorite Perfect Stranger, Fat Freddy’s Drop, FreQ Nasty and Secret Cinema are headlining ats. Subsonic

 

In the beginning of December, another Australian summer festival called Subsonic takes place. It is organized in a remote camping area not far from Sydney. The attendees can join Minilolgue, Apparat, A Guy Called Gerald, Marc Antona and Alexkid in their performances of psytrance, techno, dub and house in this smaller in scale event.

 

Meredith Music Festival

 

Meredith Music Festival is a must-see event that takes place in the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre just 2 hours from Melbourne. It is among the best outdoor events in the world that includes even underground dance acts like Pantha du Prince, DJ Harve, Pilooski and Virgo Four. Primal Scream will head up the festival this year. The famous comedian Leon, otherwise known as J.B. Smoove will also take part in this years festival.

 

Fall Festival

 

Another interesting event that takes place in two different locations at the same time is the Fall Festival. Lorne will be held in Victoria, while MarionBay will take place in Tasmania. You can choose among both places, as the lineups are almost identical and both of them are held in picturesque locations far from any civilization. The famous The Flaming Lips,

SBTRKT, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Hot Chip and Sampology will take part in this festival along with many other DJs and music bands. The event welcomes families, so there will definitely be many laid-back visitors who prepare to celebrate the New Year.

 

Big Day Out Festival

 

Among the best Australian national festivals is the Big Day Out Festival that takes place in January. More than 300,000 guests attend this festival each year. Nirvana and Violent Femmes were the groups that started it out in 1992, but currently this event has the biggest budget and respectively the biggest acts from the world famous artists, DJs and bands.
