Rhythm and Vines is a very popular annual festival in New Zealand. However, its little sister called Rhythm and Alps festival is no less popular and has a new location now. Its new home is Cardrona Valley located in Central Otago, just 15 minutes of  Wanaka and between the Pisa Plateau and Cardrona Ski resort. This year the festival will be able to accommodate 5000 campers in the scenic surroundings of the Southern Alps. About 25,000 people attended last year Rhythm and Vines festival in Gisborne which is why the smaller, more intimate festival has been created.

Rhythm and the Alps festival continues for two days at the end of the year. This festival will run at exactly the same dates as the Rhythm and Vines festival, which will take place in Gisborne on 30, 31 December.  Ticket prices start from $129 and they have been available for purchase from 16 August. Welcome the New Year at New Zealand’s South Island’s biggest festival. Thiss years acts have already been announced. Headlining are Tahuna Breaks, Shapeshifter, David Dallas, P-Money, Rudimental (DJ Set), Concord Dawn, @Peace. Although prices for a full pass begin at $129, a one day pass can be as low as $89 and the average price for two days is $159.

Rudimental with their talent and energy will form the experience of festival goers. This is a top group in the UK charts with their brilliant album called Home, as well as with their two great hits “Waiting All Night ft.Ella Eyre” and “Feel the Love”. Their uniqueness, soulful voices and beats make Rudimental able to strike the gold. All festival guests will be able to enjoy their multiple skills and explosive energy at the New Year’s Eve.

Another great participant of the festival, the famous Shapeshifter, is known worldwide for their amazing hits, music awards and platinum sales. They have a big fan base that follows them whenever they go to enjoy their favorite music. Initially, started as Christchurch based dance and music performers, the group now mixes drum, bass and soulful electronica.

Hospital Records will return for the second time with and their Hospitality club night. Being among the most respected labels worldwide, they will satisfy the demand from festival fans for epic music and entertainment.

Some other favorite names that the visitors will have a privilege to hear and see are The Funk Hunters, Recloose, The Nomad, Bulletproof, Reality Chant, Mayavanya, Jamie Stevens, Estére, Thankyou City, Kev Fresh, Gasp, Louis Baker, and Thanks.

This year, the festival will offer premium camping for the very first time, so it is worth to pay a visit there. Apart from VIP packages for accommodation, there are many other options available as well, such as holiday homes, hotels and even free camping on site. Organizers expect several thousands of visitors to arrive at the campsites, so book your ticket in advance. It is worthwhile looking for accommodation and transport now.

The beautiful Wanaka region will complete the experience. It is a gateway to the incredible Mt Aspiring National Park, a raw and pristine natural landscape. This is the most adventurous place in the region where people of all ages can find limitless opportunities for outdoor activities during long summer days.
