Now one of the most respected regional film events in the whole of America, the Florida Film Festival takes place on April 4-13 in 2014 for their 23rd annual event. Situated in Maitland, the festival includes an array of movies, animation and short films, most of which are shown at the beautiful Enzian Theatre surrounded by stunning grounds.

SunFest is Florida’s largest waterfront music and arts festival. This great event takes place every year during the week, ending on the first Sunday of May at West Palm Beach. With over 165,000 visitors every year, the festival has some fantastic live musicians taking to the three different stages with a variety of music that is so diverse there is guaranteed to be something to make everyone’s ears perk up.

The Florida Renaissance Festival will be celebrating 22 years in 2014 as it has been a favourite among people across the world for generations. In a strikingly different twist to the majority of festivals you would attend, this event celebrates the historical time when Europe transitioned from the Dark Ages into the modern era. In Deerfield Beach, costumes are displayed, crafts are demonstrated and a huge variety of entertainment takes place. The festival takes place in February and March and there are also themed weekends.

Founded back in 2002 by aXis Magazine and Promotions, the three day festival was designed to promote unsigned talent alongside national superstars. Located in Downtown Orlando, the festival takes place over 15 indoor and outdoor stages with a famous band headlining the main stage each night. Known as a “three day rock and roll bar”, there are also conference seminars with key members of the music and TV industry taking to the stage to give talks.

Held every March since 1990, the Winter Music Conference is a weeklong celebration of electronic music in Miami Beach, Florida. The weeklong festival tends to draw crowds of over 60,000 people, with a huge selection of DJs and producers gracing the event to entertain you until your feet can dance no more.

This three day celebration of sun, good times, and bundles of county music is making its debut this year and so will be in its infancy in 2014. Situated on Panama City Beach, the festival is taking place in September and compromises of a huge six stages with a host of amazing performers showing off their music. Party the nights away with beach side accommodation and when it’s all over you are guaranteed to have some amazing memories to take home too.
