Time Management

Whilst it is most definitely important that you plan ahead of time to study for your test, it is also vitally important that you plan your study time well so that you can cover all of the topics in the handbook. In order to do this well you need to split up each topic in the handbook and assign a time to studying for this particular area. If you plan your time like this then you can be safe in the knowledge that you will have covered all bases when studying and also that you have sufficient time to recap on what you have already learned.

Reading Only

I you think that you can pass the exam by solely reading the handbook then you are unfortunately mistaken and it takes a little bit more than just reading to get through this test. It is important that you not only read the handbook, but also that you truly understand what you are reading. In order to do this you need to get interactive with it and start highlighting important sections, summarizing passages on your own and underlining the most important parts that you are reading. Doing this will ensure that you can easily absorb the key points when you re-read the book. Simply flicking through the pages will not help you to pass this exam.

Experience

You should not go into this test blind and in order to give yourself the best chance of passing, you need a little bit of experience in taking these tests. In order to do this you should go online and find some of the written test practice papers that you will find on there. Not only will practicing in this way greatly help your knowledge overall, it will also give you a taste of what the exam will be like so that you will be fully prepared when the time comes.
