Applause Cheer Boo Hiss [EP-2007]

This is a great album. Dark indie rock that deserves all the praises! This is an album that delves into your senses and gives you a different kind of goosebumps. It may be a small album being an EP, but the lesser quantity converts to more of quality on this album. I absolutely fell in love with “Sea Foam” when I first heard it. The band is a garage, anti-folk band but could be pop as well that makes them more amazing.

Lovely album that deserves 10 out of 10 stars. Grab the album as soon as you can!

Some Are Lakes [LP-2008]

This first full length album is musically powerful that matches the EP “Boo”. This album only proves that Land of Talk is one of the most best female fronted bands of this era. Liz’ songwriting is definitely one for the books. The tracks in the album are worth listening for a million times.

Cloak and Cipher [LP-2010]

With guests like Patrick Zion and members of Stars, Three Silver, Mt Zion, Wintersleep, The Besnard Lakes, Arcade Fire and Esmerine, this is an album of fully pack all star cast that lived up to the expectations. While many will say that the guests are more of a distraction, I have to agree otherwise. This is an album that is perfectly amazing where we can see Liz giving out all her best despite being diagnosed with a hemorrhage vocal polyp. “Quarry Hymns”, one of the most outstanding tracks in the album makes a perfect summer partner.
