The Course
The Diploma of Human Resources includes a number of core and elective units that all strive to instill the necessary skills in the processes of HR Management. There are a number of factors that decide the pricing of the course including the mode of delivery as well as the duration. Typically, the program can be completed in 6 months if done full time, or 1 year, if done part time. However, for programs that are entirely delivered online, the duration is much more flexible and the duration time is entirely subjective to the learner. Career
Career opportunities upon completion of the course include HR adviser, HR consultant and HR manager. Predictably, they are all within the Human Resource department. However, those with other academic qualifications can supplement them with this course, and add human resource management into their job description. This includes professionals such as team leaders, line managers, supervisors, change managers, but with added human resource responsibilities.
Before you apply
Some institutions will indicate that no entry requirements are needed to enroll for the course. Regardless of this, successful completion of Australian Year 12 or its equivalent is often very desirable. Those with vocational experience in human resource, but lack any formal training might be considered, as well as those with a Certificate IV in human resource.
It is always recommended that you ensure that your chosen institution is accredited to offer the course, more so if its mode of delivery is purely online. This will ensure that your candidature, once you have graduated and looking for a job, is unquestionable.
